Emissions
Monitoring Programmes
We scope out
air emissions monitoring programmes and we assess the impact of the
monitoring results. Our independence allows us to represent the best
interests of our Clients without any conflict of interest.
Surveys
cover boiler emissions, process emissions (mainly VOCs and particulates)
and odour emissions. Our assessments of the monitoring results feed
into IPPC licence applications, reporting of compliance monitoring to
Regulatory Authorities, and dispersion modelling studies.
Dispersion
Modelling
Our
engineers are very experienced in conducting single and multi-source
dispersion modelling studies of emissions to air, and in assessing the
results in the context of ambient air quality standards and human health
guidelines. We use the latest dispersion modelling programmes, which
are approved for use by Regulatory Authorities.
The
modelling study results are used for a variety of purposes including the
preparation of Best Available Technique (BAT) assessments and providing
expert witness services in Legal Cases.
Fugitive
Emissions
We conduct
fugitive emissions studies for Clients whose operations are covered by
IPPC licensing and by the Solvent Directive. We
have our own innovative methodologies, including the use of mathematical
models, which we have applied to facilities in the pharmaceutical,
printing and surface coating, and petroleum storage sectors.
