Institution Prize at the Engineers Ireland Engineering Excellence Awards in
April 2008.

this presentation was to provide details on the risks
associated with the bulk storage of flammable materials and on

those risks, by reference to the appropriate codes and
standards for design & operation and for emergency
response at such facilities. The presentation also
contains details of several case studies to illustrate the
points made, including the Buncefield Incident.
